Oudtshoorn is situated in the Klein Karoo 87 kilometres from the large coastal town of Mossel Bay.
The Cango Caves: One of the worlds great natural wonders, sculptured by nature through the ages. The Ostriches: Amidst the 400 ostrich farms surrounding the town, 3 have distinguished themselves worthy to be named " show farms". Crocodile and Cheetah Farm: A highly successful breeding station of this threatened species. The Klein Karoo National Arts festival: An Annual gathering in March/April, of more than 100 000 lovers of the various arts, for a week of dancing, films, cabaret, classical music, comedy, contemporary music, open air concerts, plays, literary art & poetry



Lying in the foothills of the Outeniqua Mountains in a region of incomparable beauty, Wilderness is an attractive holiday resort with beautiful beaches and numerous vantage points from which to watch the whales and dolphins. Wilderness is 57km from Mossel Bay. Excellent viewpoints is the Map of Africa with breathtaking scenery of forests, lakes, mountains and coastline. Woodville Big Tree, over 800 years old, creates shaded areas with its massive branches, making it a great picnic spot. Take a stroll along the boardwalk which is part of the Pied Kingfisher Trail



Knysna is 113km from Mossel Bay. Knysna is nestles between the impressive Outeniqua Mountains and the Indian Ocean, with the world-renowned forests encircling it like a protective mantle. The 21 ha estuary is protected from the sea by the monolithic sandstone "Heads" - silent sentinels down the centuries of the rich history of this unique part of "paradise of earth". Featherbed Nature Reserve, a unique 150 ha private Nature Reserve, encompasses the whole of the Western Head of Knysna and is one of South Africa's Natural Heritage Sites
